And with India and Pakistan both making it to the semi-final, it has certainly made it bigger. Many former cricketers, cricket pundits, and fans have shown their desire to see India and Pakistan win their semi-finals and play in the final of the tournament to end it in a grand way. T20 World Cup 2022: “I don’t know, we are here to win”- Ben Stokes
However, it will not be an easy task for India and Pakistan to play in the final, because they have got two of the toughest and strongest opponents to compete against in the semi-finals. New Zealand and England are also the favorites to win the tournament and have everything to do that. England is the best white-ball team in the moment, and New Zealand has always done well in ICC events.
That’s what even English all-rounder Ben Stokes thinks. He was asked about the probability of an IND-PAK final by an Indian journalist. To that, he replied, “Great news for you guys if it’s the India vs Pakistan final. Look, I don’t know, we are just here to hopefully win on Thursday.”
The journalist also asked him about the brilliant comeback the former Indian captain Virat Kohli has made after facing huge crictisim in recent period. Stokes said, “He has earned the right to be never be written off. You don’t produce the numbers and innings, he has done in all three formats.”
Virat is the highest run-getter in the competition with 246 runs in five games at an average of 123. He has also hit three unbeaten half-centuries so far. He will be the key for India against England because his numbers at Adelaide Oval are staggering.
