IND vs BAN Test: Shreyas Iyer get bowled but the bail didn’t come out – Watch
The incident occurred in the 83rd over of the inning on the 5th ball. Pacer Ebadot Hossain bowled an in-swinging ball that kept low, and Iyer missed it completely. As a result, it hit the off stumps and the bails went up but settled on the stumps, and Iyer survived a bowled dismissal because the bails did not come down.
The bowler and some Bangladeshi close fielders pointed towards the stumps, but because the bails were there on the stumps, Iyer wasn’t given out. Later, the batter was seen laughing at his luck, while the Bangladeshi fielders cursed theirs.
In the first innings, India lost quick wickets after a 41-run opening partnership between Shubman Gill (20) and KL Rahul (20). Virat Kohli (1) got out early as well. But Rishabh Pant came with an aggressive approach and started playing his shots. He made a quick 46 off 45, including two maximums and six boundaries.
