But the scoreline is still India with 12 wins while Pakistan won only one match. And now the Pakistan batsman, Sohaib Maqsood, has opened up about why Pakistan loses to India in World Cups. He also said that now Pakistan is improving and will give India a tough time. In an interview with Geo News, Sohaib said,
“The reason for the green shirts’ consistent defeat against India in World Cup matches is because the Pakistani team became overexcited. However, in the recent past, our team has started treating Indo-Pak matches normally, and it has improved our performance too.”
India faced their first loss against Pakistan in the 2021 T20 World Cup. That 10-wicket loss led to the early exit of the Men in Blue from the competition. India didn’t qualify for the next round, while Pakistan made it to the semi-finals.
India and Pakistan to play on August 28 in Asia Cup and World Cup
Both teams will now lock horns in the upcoming Asia Cup 2022. Both will start their campaigns on August 28. There is a possibility that these teams will play two more matches against each other in the tournament, one in the Super Four stage and one in the final. Then, they will also play their campaign opener for the T20 World Cup later in Australia.
