ENG vs PAK: It was the carnage overall in the first day of the first test match between England and Pakistan at Rawalpindi stadium. England broke all the opening day records when they came out to bat first after winning the toss. Although all 90 overs were not bowled on the first day and the first day ended with 75 overs only. But that was enough for England to break a few records.
England ended the day with a massive score of 506/4 in just 75 overs, scoring at a rate of 6.75. Four batters scored a century, which is also a record made today. Ben Duckett (107), Zak Crawley (122), Ollie Pope (108) and Harry Brook (101*) made a test century each. With this innings, England broke the 102-year-old record of Australia, which they broke with 494/6 against South Africa in December 1910.

England also set a new record for scoring the most runs in the opening session of a test match. Both English openers added a total of 172 runs in the opening session to lay a brilliant foundation.
