Later, he went on to slam the fastest IPL 100 by an Indian off just 35 balls. That too in his only third IPL innings. The teenage star ended up with 252 runs in just seven innings at a strike rate of 206.55. He slammed one century and one fifty and hit 24 maximums.

He had the best strike rate among players with 100 or more runs. Hence, he also won the TATA Super Strikers of the Season award. The IPL 2025 certainly came as a breakthrough in his young career, and he has the potential to become the next big star.

2. Sai Sudharsan (Gujarat Titans)

After scoring 527 runs in 2024, Sai Sudharsan took another massive step in the IPL 2025. He was arguably the best IPL 2025 player. The southpaw was unstoppable and bagged a number of awards after the IPL 2025 concluded.

He was the key reason that GT made it to the playoffs. Sai Sudharsan finished as the top scorer of the season. His risk-free approach with an effective strike rate made him a very difficult batter. There was hardly a game where he missed scoring.

3. Shreyas Iyer (Punjab Kings)

Shreyas Iyer entered the IPL 2025 with a point to prove to many, and he eventually did it in style. He was the best leader of the season and led from the front. Though he failed in the final and Punjab Kings ended as runners-up, taking this franchise to only their second final in 18 years is still a big thing.

Not to forget, he led Kolkata Knight Riders to the win the title in 2024, beating Sunrisers Hyderabad. But he was released by the franchise. However, he played his second consecutive final, proving that he has improved as a leader. Iyer’s on-field tactics, backing of young players, and tough decisions were some notable things this season.

As a batter, he was the top run scorer for his team. His tally includes 604 runs at an average of 50.33 and a strike rate of 175.07. He also scored six half-centuries and 39 sixes. Certainly, he was among the IPL 2025 top performers.

4. Suryakumar Yadav (Mumbai Indians)

Suryakumar Yadav needs no introduction to this format. He is probably the best T20 batters globally. He was at his best for Mumbai Indians this season. His consistency helped MI to make it to Qualifier 2 after a shaky start to the competition.

He went past Sachin Tendulkar and made a record for most runs for MI in one season. Suryakumar reached 717 runs in 16 innings, at an average of 65.18 and a strike rate of 167.91, with five half-centuries.

Not just this, he went on to set a new IPL record of most consecutive innings with 25+ runs. He played 16 innings in the IPL 2025 and scored 25+ runs in each inning, which is astonishing consistency. As a result, he was rewarded the MVP of the Season award.

5. Prasidh Krishna (Gujarat Titans)

T20 cricket is not an easy format if you are a bowler, but Prasidh Krishna performed against all the odds and was a standout IPL 2025 performer for Gujarat Titans. He missed the last two seasons because of injury but made a stunning comeback and helped his team make it to the final.

In the tournament, dominated by batters, Krishna finished with the most wickets, winning the Purple Cap award. He took 25 wickets in 15 innings at an economy rate of 8.27 and a strike rate of 14.16. His role was to contain batters in the middle overs and take wickets.

He did it with perfection, and it helped him make his comeback in the Indian Test team for the England tour. Krishna used his height and bounce to good effect and had a memorable season with the ball.
