IND vs ENG: India suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of England in the second semi-final of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia. With this loss, India’s dream of winning an ICC tournament has been shattered completely. A huge number of Indian fans came out to Adelaide Oval to support their teams.
But after the game, they were seen leaving the stadium quietly, even before the game ended. And the reason was India’s 10-wicket loss, which has kicked them out of the tournament. A loss can’t be more painful for Team India and its fans when the opposition side goes on to win by 10 wickets.
After this win, England has qualified for the finals, where they will play Babar Azam and his team at the Melbourne Cricket Stadium on November 13 (Sunday).

Batting first, India reached a competitive total of 168/6 in their 20 overs. Virat Kohli (50 off 40) and Hardik Pandya (63 off 33) helped India gain momentum after struggling in the first ten overs. But the opening stand between Jos Buttler and Alex Hales sealed the deal for England. After the loss, the Indian captain, Rohit Sharma, was seen crying in the dugout.
Both Buttler and Hales scored unbeaten half centuries and chased down 170/0 in just 16 overs. Buttler made 80* off 49 balls, with nine fours and three sixes, while Hales was not out on 86* off 47 balls, including 4 fours and 7 sixes. England, on the other hand, were very professional in their run-chase and carried on their aggressiveness.
