The 26-year-old suffered a car accident in December 2022 and has been out of action since then. He was in rehab for more than 14–15 months. But now, Rishabh Pant has gotten clearance from the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and is a complete fit. The BCCI secretary, Jay Shah, also confirmed that Pant is fit enough to make his comeback in the IPL 2024.

Every IPL team is doing its best ahead of the start of the new season and has set up their camps to get prepared. Delhi Capitals have also setup their camp in Vizag, and players are joining the team. On Wednesday, Rishabh Pant also joined the team and was seen as very excited. Pant missed the entire last season, and there was doubt about his participation in the IPL 2024.
In a video uploaded to the social media account of the franchise, Pant was seen expressing his emotions. He said that it looked like he was making his debut again. Pant said, “I am excited and nervous at the same time. It feels like I’m going to make my debut again.” The 26-year-old also thanked everyone who has been involved in getting him ready for the IPL 2024. Notably, DC will play their opening match on March 23 (Saturday) against Punjab Kings in Chandigarh.
