Rishabh Pant joins Sachin, MS Dhoni, Sehwag, Kapil Dev in Elite List; Becomes 2nd-fastest Indian to achieve this feat

IND vs BAN Test: Rishabh Pant, who has been struggling with his form in recent times in white-ball cricket, made a decent statement when he stepped on to the field in the first test against Bangladesh at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram. It was India that won the toss and elected to bat first. They got off to a decent start, with both Shubam Gill (20) and skipper KL Rahul (22) adding 41 runs for the first wicket in 13.2 overs.

But once the first wicket fell, Team India slipped to 48/3 from 41/0. The former Indian skipper Virat Kohli (1) also couldn’t score much and got out cheaply, which brought Rishabh Pant to the crease. The left-hander, who took a break from the three-match ODI series against Bangladesh, was in a different mood. He began to play his shots for boundaries.
