IPL Auction 2023 Live: The auction for the next edition of the Indian Premier League is live at Kochi, and it has given us some of the costliest players in the history of the Indian Premier League. English players have been setting the IPL on fire that is the reason three English players have been sold for over 13 crore in INR. However, English all-rounder Sam Curran becomes the most expensive player in the history of the cash-rich league.
Curran started the bidding war between the Punjab Kings and the Mumbai Indians. Chennai Super Kings also tried for a bid. But in the end, it was the Punjab Kings who purchased the English all-rounder for a whopping price of INR 18.5 crore. The second-costliest player was Australian all-rounder Cameron Green, who was bought by the Mumbai Indians for INR 17.5 crore. English test team captain Ben Stokes was sold for INR 16.25 crore to Chennai Super Kings.
West Indian superstar Nicholas Pooran also the costliest pick. He was picked up by Lucknow Super Gitans for INR 16 crore. English star Harry Brook also caused chaos in the auction.
