BCCI sacks Selectors: The Indian Cricket Board made a shocking decision on Friday night when they fired all seniors on the selection committee, including Chetan Sharma. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) sacked them with immediate effect after the disappointing campaign of the Indian team in the 2022 T20 World Cup. However, so far, the board hasn’t said anything about the action taken, but it is because of the poor team selection for the marquee event.
Notably, India hasn’t done well in the last two T20 World Cups in two years, and failing to pick a strong team has led to the sacking of the selection committee. After that, the BCCI also confirmed that they are willing to accept new applications for the vacant positions in the selection committee, and the last date to apply for these positions is November 28.

India had a total of eight captains in 2022, and even after playing with different sets of players, the Indian team failed on the big occasion. Notably, this is the second major step since Roger Binny joined as BCCI President, replacing Sourav Ganguly. Furthermore, some reports also suggest that India is looking for different captains and coaches for different formats.
It has been learned that Rohit Sharma will lead the Test and ODI teams, while Hardik Pandya will captain the T20 internationals. On the other hand, some Indian fans were happy after the BCCI’s decision to sack the selection committee. Some also believe that the selector didn’t build the core of the team and did more chopping and changing.
