IND vs NZ 1st T20: The first T20I between India and New Zealand at the JSCA International Stadium in Ranchi ended in favour of the visitors. Batting first, New Zealand scored a decent score of 176/6 in their first inning. In the chase, Team India managed only 155/9 and fell short by 21 runs. With this win, the Black Caps have taken a 1-0 lead in the three-match T20I series.
In the first inning, India looked comfortable for most of the match. But in the end, the last over by Arshdeep Singh shifted the momentum towards New Zealand’s side. He conceded 27 runs in the 20th over, including three sixes on the first three deliveries of the over, including a no-ball. Eventually, that became the difference between the two teams in the end.
For New Zealand, Devon Conway gave a brilliant start and scored 52 off 35 balls with seven fours and one six. Finn Allen also hit some boundaries and made 35 off 23 with four boundaries and two sixes. But the real cameo came from the bat of Daryl Mitchell, who scored an unbeaten half-century and struck those crucial 27 runs in the last over. Mitchell scored 59 not out from 30 balls, including three fours and five sixes.

In the end, Washington Sundar played a good hand and scored 50 runs off just 28 balls, including five fours and three sixes. But his fight went in vain. However, fans were not happy with Arshdeep Singh giving away so many extra runs in the last over. Many fans urged to drop him in the next match.
